If you want to quickly change the order in which products appear on your main shop page, you can easily drag and drop them.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Navigate to Products in your main website menu.

At the top of your product list, click the link that says Sorting.

Hover your mouse over any product. Your cursor will change to a crosshair icon.

Click and hold the product, then drag it up or down the list to your preferred position.

Release your mouse. The order saves automatically!
