If your city or state changes its sales tax percentage, you must update your store settings so you are collecting the correct amount at checkout.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Navigate to Settings in your main left-hand dashboard menu.

2. Click the Tax tab located at the top of the screen.

3. Just below those main tabs, click the link that says Standard rates (or the specific tax class your store uses, like “Reduced rate”).

4. You will see a table displaying your current tax rules. Locate the row that matches your State or Zip Code.

5. Click directly on the number inside the Rate % column and type in your new tax rate (for example, change 6.0000 to 6.5000).

6. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the blue Save changes button.
