Maintaining SKU Accuracy in Storis
The Goal: 1:1 SKU Matching To ensure products appear on your website quickly and accurately, keep your Manufacturer SKUs in Storis updated. Ideally, your Manufacturer SKU should be a 1:1 match with the Vendor SKU.
Maintenance Routine: Weekly Audits Once your website is live and you are satisfied with the initial catalog, establish a weekly process to maintain data integrity:
-
Filter for Errors: In the R&A backend Product Dashboard, filter the product list to show items that do not have a “Retailer Item ID.”
-
Analyze the Gap: A missing Retailer Item ID indicates the system could not find an exact match between your Storis data and the Vendor data.
-
Fix the Issue: Research the product to identify the correct SKU, then follow the mapping steps listed in the Q&A guide.
Why this matters: When SKUs are not a 1:1 match, R&A attempts to build the product using “fuzzy” context (like descriptions and vendor names). This increases the risk of displaying inaccurate product details. If you find discrepancies during your audit, please utilize the Support Hub.
