How to Add a New Category to Your Main Menu

When you create a new product category, it doesn’t automatically show up in your website’s top navigation bar. You need to place it there manually.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Navigate to Appearance in your main left-hand menu and click Menus.
Make sure your “Main Navigation” or “Primary Menu” is selected at the top.
On the left side of the screen, find the Product categories box. (If you don’t see it, click “Screen Options” at the very top right of your screen and check the box for Product Categories).
Check the box next to your new category and click Add to Menu.
The category will appear at the bottom of your menu structure. Click and drag it to wherever you want it to appear on the site.
Click the blue Save Menu button on the right.
