If you want specific items to show up at the very top of your store’s pages, you can control their exact placement by adjusting their “Menu Order” (also known as their Rank).

Important Context on Default Rankings: > * By default, all products automatically added from your API Catalog Database are assigned a rank of 99999 (pushing them to the end of the list).

• By default, all products you manually add yourself are assigned a rank of 0 (putting them at the front of the list).

Note: Lower numbers always display first! A product with a rank of 1 will show up before a product with a rank of 99999.

You can override these default numbers in two ways: by manually adjusting them one by one (instructions below), or by uploading a web rank file to update thousands of items at once.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Manual Adjustment:

1. Navigate to Products in your main left-hand dashboard menu.

2. Locate the specific item you want to move. Hover your mouse over the product name and click Quick Edit.

3. In the quick edit panel that drops down, look for the small box labeled Menu order (usually located on the right side next to the product dimensions or weight).

4. Delete the current number (like 99999 or 0) and type in your new rank number.

5. Click the blue Update button at the bottom right of the quick edit panel to save.

Alternative Method: If you are already inside the main editing screen for a product, you can also change this number by scrolling down to the Product Data box, clicking the Advanced tab on the left, and typing your new number into the Menu order box!
