This tab lists every in-stock or on-display item in your ERP that is missing a Manufacturer SKU. These items cannot sync to your website until a Manufacturer SKU is added (or you manually connect your Retailer ERP SKU to the item in the website back room).
Understanding the Columns
| Column | What It Means |
| Retailer SKU | Your internal ERP item number. Use this to look up and update the item in your ERP system. |
| Mfg SKU | Currently blank — this is what you need to populate in your ERP. |
| Vendor | The manufacturer or supplier of the item. |
| Description 1 & 2 | Your ERP item descriptions to help identify the product. |
| Qty In Stock | Current on-hand quantity. Items with stock are higher priority. |
| Location On Display | Which showroom location the item is displayed in, if applicable. |
| Package | If populated, this item is a Package or Group in your ERP. See the special note below if your ERP is Profit Systems. |
| Category | Your ERP product category. |
| Discontinued Status | If this shows “Discontinued by Manufacturer” or “Discontinued by Store,” perhaps you don’t want to add a Mfg SKU. |
How to Resolve Unpopulated SKUs
- For each item, look up the Retailer SKU in your ERP.
- Search the manufacturer’s website or catalog to find the correct Manufacturer SKU for that specific item and configuration.
- Enter the Manufacturer SKU in the appropriate field in your ERP item settings.
- The data feed will pick up the change within approximately one hour, and changes will show on next week’s report.
Not sure if an item should be on the website? If you do not want an item to appear online (for example, a clearance item you are managing manually), there is no need to populate the Manufacturer SKU for that item. Only populate items you want synced to the website.
📦 Special Note: Package SKUs
Items marked as “Package” in the Package column require a different process for populating the Manufacturer SKU in PROFITsystems RETAILvantage. Please review the information by clicking here.
How to Prioritize
With potentially thousands of items on this list, it helps to focus your effort strategically:
- Prioritize items on display in your showroom — customers who see them in store may look them up online.
- Work vendor by vendor using the Population Summary tab to find which vendors have the most unpopulated items as a percentage.
- Skip or deprioritize items showing “Discontinued” status unless they still have meaningful stock.
