What Happens if an Item Goes Out of Stock or Becomes Discontinued (Myriad)?

R&A performs a weekly website inventory cleanup. Items are removed from the website only when they meet both of these conditions simultaneously:

  • The item is marked as Discontinued in Myriad
  • The item has zero stock

Out-of-Stock Tracking: The system keeps a running record of every item it has ever seen in your Myriad feed. If an item drops out of inventory (goes to zero stock), the feed will continue to report it with a stock level of 0 so that your website reflects zero availability rather than showing a stale stock number.

Important Limitation — Items Discontinued While Out of Stock: Because the Myriad API only surfaces items that are currently in inventory, there is a gap: if an item has already gone to zero stock and is then marked as Discontinued inside Myriad, the system has no way to automatically detect that discontinuation. If you know of specific items that should be removed from your website, please communicate this to R&A directly so they can act on it promptly.
